## I'm Wayne. I have a cool family, a pair of chocolate labradors and a cat named after [LTJ Bukem](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LTJ_Bukem). After panicking that we had retired to the UK countryside in our mid-thirties, we decided to move to Australia for 5 years and became Aussie citizens. Melbourne is one of my favourite places on earth, and its not just because of all the wineries / coffee shops. I believe in openly sharing thoughts and ideas. The technology consultancy i founded is called [Open Works](https://open.works). One of my core values is authenticity. You get the idea. The idea of a [mind garden](https://www.mentalnodes.com/a-gardening-guide-for-your-mind) has always appealed to me, possibly because in so many areas of my life I tend to be more of an *architect* than a *gardener*. The concept of exploring and cultivating my ideas and thoughts public writing and sharing my inner dialogue as I strive for meaning is the polar opposite to how I like to operate normally. There is safety in hiding behind a plan, a structure. Hiding in general. <hr> This site helps me satisfy my desire to fully explore and connect concepts related to digital strategy, delivery, organisational design, capability development or anything else I find interesting that warrants exploration and sharing. It will move me from a passive consumer of knowledge to an active contributor. Hopefully. The basic flow will be a two-stage process: **passing thoughts** * Just about registering as a stream of consciousness * Anything from a paragraph to something a bit deeper * Not fully researched, something new that caught my eye or something I remembered **coherent thoughts** * deeper patterns and links between concepts have emerged * I may have added some imagery to help cement my understanding * A fuller set of links to reference sites added How well will this work?
